The State Institute of Encyclopaedic Publications

The institute is taking an earnest effort to complete the remaining volumes of Sarvavijnanakosam and Viswasahityavijnanakosam within a short period. The revised versions of the first and second volumes have been brought out both in the print as well as in the web formats; the revision of the remaining eight volumes of Sarvavijnanakosam is nearing completion. In addition to these, the institute plans to take up the following projects for immediate execution.

  1. To make available all the Articles compiled in the vijnanakosam volumes to the general public, free of cost, through our web edition and to invite contribution of new Articles (in Malayalam) on new topics (of their choice) from whoever is willing to contribute through this website.
  2. To prepare and publish a vijnanakosam on Kerala in one or two volumes which will contain all relevant information about the state - its land, people, history, places of cultural and tourist importance, prominent institutions, etc.
  3. A vijnanakosam (in single volume) about the folklore, folk games and festivals of Kerala.
  4. A Frontier of Science Series in several volumes covering the developments in Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Computer Science & IT, Astronomy & Space exploration, Geography & Geology, Meteorology, etc.
  5. Yearbook
  6. Keralavijnanakosam: web edition of an encyclopaedia dealing with the diverse aspects of Kerala

The font conversion, image compression, etc. needed for the web edition are done by Kudumbasree with the technical support from SPACE. The web server space is provided by the IT Mission, Government of Kerala and the website is hosted at the State Data Centre, Trivandrum.
